Sesame Disk plans and pricing: a simple guide
Choosing a cloud storage plan should not feel like homework. This guide walks through every Sesame Disk plan, what each one includes, and what it costs, for one person or a whole company. If you only want a number for your own team, the pricing calculator will work it out for you in a few clicks.
The short version
- Personal Free costs nothing. It is a good way to try Sesame Disk on your own.
- Starter begins at $4 a month for one person and includes 250 GB of storage.
- StarterPlus is our most popular plan. It includes 2,000 GB (2 TB) of storage and begins at $10 a month for one person.
- Business includes 8,000 GB (8 TB) of storage for larger teams that share a lot of files.
- On every paid plan, each person costs less as your team grows. Paying yearly saves about 10% on user seats compared with paying month by month.
How the price works
Each plan has a price per user. That price depends on how many people are on your account: once your team reaches a size in the tables below, everyone on the account is charged that lower rate. For example, on Starter one person pays $4 a month, but a team of three pays $2.50 each, so $7.50 a month in total.
Every paid plan also comes with storage and download allowances included in the price. If you use more, you only pay for the extra gigabytes you use, at the rates listed further down.
On monthly billing, you are billed at the end of each cycle for your user seats plus any use above the included amounts.
Personal Free
Personal Free is for one person who wants to try Sesame Disk or keep a small set of files in the cloud. According to our pricing page, it includes:
- 1 user
- 2 GB of storage
- 10 GB of total traffic each month
Shared links on the free plan expire after 3 days, and you need to log in at least once every 3 months to keep the account active. When you outgrow it, you can move to a paid plan.
Starter
Starter suits individuals, families, and small teams. It includes 250 GB of storage for the account.

Example: a team of 3 on yearly billing pays $27 per person, which is $81 for the whole year. On your own, Starter is $43.20 a year.
StarterPlus (most popular)
StarterPlus gives you much more room, with 2,000 GB (2 TB) of storage and a larger download allowance. It is a good fit for growing teams and anyone who works with photos, video, or large projects.

Business is built for companies that store and share a lot of data. It includes 8,000 GB (8 TB) of storage, and the price per person keeps dropping as you add people.

Monthly or yearly?
Monthly billing is flexible: you pay for your user seats and any extra use, cycle by cycle. Yearly billing costs about 10% less per user seat, and your download and upload allowances are counted over the whole year instead of month by month. If your team size is fairly steady, yearly is usually the better deal.
