How to Cloud: Start Using SesameDisk by NiHao Cloud Today
Let’s assume you want to get started at SesameDisk and registered an account. You have also upgraded it to the multi-user, and now you need to add the users. How can you do that?
Conversely, you may want to ask: How to invite a person to join my team and work with NiHao Cloud? Worry not. This is, among others, a reason to create this post on How to use the Cloud.
How to Invite A Person to NiHao Cloud
Given that you already have purchased more than one user account follow these steps:
1) Click on the “Organization Admin” option after initially clicking the profile icon on the top right of the navigation menu.
2) After that, click on “Add user” which can be found centrally on the top bar, as per the picture below.
3). Then, you will be prompted to input the user’s email, name, and password. The requested user should receive an email regarding being added with the password you set. But don’t worry! They can change the password in the next login. However, if they do not get the email, they can use the “Forgot password?” feature on the login page to recover the password. Alternatively, you can just send it yourself using any messaging system. The picture below shows where you can find the password recovery option.
Okay, now it’s time to learn how to upload files to your cloud.
How To Cloud: Using NiHao Cloud to Upload a File
When you log in to the cloud storage by SesameDisk, you will see something like the picture below, showing the main work area where you will see My Libraries.
Just to test, you can click on my library, and then you will see a different menu in the top center. See the picture below for how it looks.
You can choose three main options at this point: Upload, New, and Share.
- Upload: Transfer files and folders.
- New: Create files and folders
- Share: Share using some of our modes.
I will go into more details about share now, because it is the one with more features; the others are quite simple, and the names should be self-explanatory. Still, do not hesitate to ask any related queries below.
What Can You Do With Share?
Right, so about the share feature. When you click on share, you will see a new window pop-up with many options, as you can see below:
Here is the most powerful feature of the system, but also the one that has the most options and complexities. Please explore it and test all the features you think you might need. Don’t hesitate to ask your questions.
In my opinion, it will work best after you have added another user, as explained. So I will explain how to do that now.
Click on the “Share to user” option on the left menu. The resulting screen looks like this:
There are two dropdowns here. The first one lets you write the User’s name that you added before, and the other lets you give them access rights. There are a few options there with descriptions of what they do. If they should only read, you can share as “Read-Only”, with no download rights; and if they should be able to modify., download and upload files, then use “Read-Write”. However, if they should own it like you, then use the “Admin” right.
I hope that helps, but do ask further questions if you have any.
Wait, There’s More…
